Azealia Banks Following In Nicki's Footsteps?

1st it was the feud with Brooklyn rapper Lil Kim, the overly cocky attitude way too soon, and now a lipstick with MAC cosmetics? Basically sounds like a script for a Nicki Minaj bipoic. Now Azealia is a talented female(when you can hear what she's saying), and seems to have some kind of a fan base behind her, but following to much behind Nicki is only a disaster. Nicki made her own lane, she took what Kim did and flipped it and made it worth 10x what is was. Now I'm not knocking Banks, but she needs to start getting in her own lane before she gets swept under Nicki's shadow. Do what Nicki hasn't done, beat her to something. A shoe line, a line of sodas, dammit a chain of apartment duplexes. My other issue with Banks is her timing. She puts out her EP, then releases a video, releases a mixtape, but shoots another video off her EP. She needs to fully finish one project before she tries to release another. She's gonna make it messy if she keeps it up. Her eggplant colored lipstick will be available for purchase online on September 5th, and in NYC M.A.C. store September 6-20. Banks' debut album Broke With Expensive Taste  is scheduled to be released on February 12, 2013.

NEW MUSIC FROM CALVIN HARRIS FT/ KELIS !

Scottish DJ Calvin Harris has done it again, and this time with Kelis! If you don't know who Harris is, you could compare him to David Guetta and DJ Khaled, just the DJ, no lyrics. Well, ladys nd gents, Kelis really sangggg on this track. The track is entitled Bounce and is club banger! Back in April Harris confirmed via Twitter that he was recording the video for the second single from his upcoming album, titled "Bounce", in Vegas. Maybe it's just me but I'm really excited to see Kelis on any kind of screen again. Hopefully this will push her some and she'll get her shit together and decide to actually work on something worth mentioning.

RIHANNA'S NEW SINGLE COVER !

2010/2011 has been a good year for Rihanna, Platinum selling album, Grammy winning album, and now so-far-so-good tour reviews. Well it's about to get better. Rihanna just released the video for her ballad California King Bed, and here is the cover art for her latest single, Man Down which yet again, she follows the trend of all her latest cover arts. The video was shot last week by Anthony Mandler and Rih flew all the way to Jamaica to shoot the video. Hopefully she'll actually kill someone instead of just singing about it, shawty left my mind a little dry after her California King Bed video.

EXTENDED TRAILER OF BEYONCE'S NEW VIDEO !

Soooo , Beyonce released an extended version of the sneak peak for her new video "Girls (Who Run The World)." The video seems like it will be actually good and interesting, hence the fact it looks like Slumdog Millionaire meets WWII meets the Jersey Shore Fist Pump. She even took it back a little with the same hairstyle she had in the Deja Vu video. In her sakes, hopefully the video will promote the single just enough to get it at least in the top 40. Beyonce, good luck, the rest of your life depends on this , if you blow this, you better start popping babies!

BEYONCE REVEALS NAME OF NEXT ALBUM!

So in a recent interview mega-star Beyonce Knowles (yes I had to use the throwback booty-pop picture) revealed the title of her 4th much anticipated solo album. 4 . . . That's right , just the number 4. Knowles claims that the number 4 is a significant number to her as it's the day of  her birthday, her mom Tina's birthday, a couple of her friends' birthday, and the day of her wedding anniversary. Now, I'm all for symbolism, but Bey, you already used your birthday with B'Day and now you're using another reference with this album?

Now we see how she has already released a remix to pon de floor single called "Girls (Who Run The World)" which has to be Beyonce's least successful single of all time. You wonder whats the sudden change in her? Well, after dropping her father, Matthew Knowles, as her manager, she signed to her husband Jay-Z's record label , Roc Nation. Ok, a label switch is fine, but what about a new manager? Rumored to be Jay-Z himself, Beyonce cleared up all rumors when she stated to Billboard magazine "We were at a point where we’d do so much from each other, and now it’s exciting for me to do this on my own and hire my own team. I’ve started managing myself” Well it all makes sense now, back in '03 she wanted to release her rendition of 50 Cent's debut single "In Da Club" as her 1st solo single, a remix ladies and gents, as a single. Fast forward 8 years later and as soon as Beyonce gets control of herself, the first thing she does is release a remix as a single. WTF?! Well, in this direction , Rhianna better get ready to start having better dance breaks on stage because it seems as if she's next in line for the crown.

ADELE PERFORMS ON DWTS !

English sensation Adele made a stop on her tour to perform for Dancing With The Stars. She supposed to perform two songs one being a rendition of Carol King's "Natural Woman" But with alleged vocal cord issues, Adele only performed Rolling In The Deep as Australian singer Delta Goodrem stepped in for an amazing performance hence the fact she only had an hour of rehearsals to sing a song she has never sang before (below). 





Adele performed her hit single with ease and even a little poplock. Still wearing her black ensemble that she has now bedazzeled, Adele seemed to have a slight attitude problem from my perspective. Maybe it was the fact that she was sick or maybe she just doesn't like looking at skinny people dancing while she sings, whatever it was , she should stop , wrinkles are the last thing her piggly-wiggly face needs. Then at eh end of the performance , she seems unmoved my the roaring applaud. Could Ms. Adele getting Naomi Campbell on us? Time shall tell.
