With Oprah's daytime talk show coming to an end, and her not as involved with her
OWN channel , she has free time. She has been in talks about doing a
broadway show! Remember, Oprah started acting back in 1985 when she said "
I loves Harpo, but I killem' dead fo' I let em' beat me" in the
Color Purple. With the major success of her talk show, magazine and everything else she does, she got wrapped up in everything and hasn't had enough time to act since. She once toyed with the idea to act in
Kenny Leon's Fences, thinking she could record during the day and perform at night, but eventually, the idea fell through. As of right now Oprah is reading a couple scripts and will soon decide which is best for her. Whatever she does, I'm sure it'll be phenomenal, she is
Oprah. Let's just see if the production will stay under the wings of the director or will Oprah be herself and just take over. I mean it's a big deal, with the
First Family bound to come and all. Let's just hope for the best. You go Oprah! You better tell Harpo second time around!
